While it is only about ¼ mile from the parking area to the first of the three major Deckertown waterfalls, for a more expansive and strenuous hike, follow the well heeled trail towards the NY 224 overpass. Several small cascades are visible down into an increasingly narrow and sharp gorge, all but inaccessible due to unstable shale that lines the hillside.
Several small waterfalls, approximately 10-feet in height, are accessible east of the NY 224 overpass but no formal trail exists. The land may be private, but as of 2014, no signs were posted to indicate as such. Bushwhacking will be involved, as will as some minor climbing.
