For a reprieve from the always-crowded and popular (but extremely beautiful) Watkins Glen State Park, take a gander at Twin Falls. Two small but wonderful drops, at 16 feet and 9 feet, respectfully, flow along Glen Creek. A very short trail from a roadside parking area leads to the Upper Falls, and a small and sometimes muddy hike along the creek bed leads to the Lower Falls.
From the village of Watkins Glen, New York, follow NY 409/Steuben Street west for -mile. At County Line Road, turn right and then bear left to follow County Line Road for 2.4 miles. Turn left onto Vanzandt Hollow Road and follow for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Templar Road and follow for .2 mile to a small pull-off on the north side of the gravel route.
