Dunloup Creek is one of the many perennial streams that tumble down toward the New River. About two miles from Thurmond, the stream flows over a 20-foot block cascade.

From WV Routes 16 and 61 in Glen Jean, follow WV County Route 25 / Thurmond Road toward Thurmond for 4.1 miles. There is a pull-off for the waterfall but it is otherwise unmarked.
