Pinnacle Rock

Pinnacle Rock State Park, known for its signature sandstone formations, is located along US Route 52 near Bramwell, West Virginia.

The park was established in 1938 when the Conservation Commission purchased a 26-acre tract of undeveloped forest containing the sandstone formations near Pinnacle Mountain. The Works Progress Administration constructed a rustic picnic shelter and a walkway. The park has gradually been expanded to 400 acres in size, including a small 15-acre fishing lake nestled in a deep hollow.
