Twin Waterfalls Nature Sanctuary

The Twin Waterfalls Nature Sanctuary features Tannery Falls (also referred to as Olson Falls), a 40-foot drop along Tannery Creek, and Memorial Falls, a 40-foot drop along an unnamed stream. Both waterfalls are seasonal.

The land for the preserve was acquired in 1986 after funds were raised to honor Rudy Olson, a member of the Michigan Nature Association. The sanctuary today features a half-mile of trails under soaring sandstone cliffs that connect the two waterfalls.
