Falls of Keeneys Creek

There are several remote cascading waterfalls along Keeneys Creek within the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia.

There are many watersheds that harbor some spectacular cascades in the vicinity of the New River. Many are unexplored or typically inaccessible because of the unforgiving, mountainous terrain. In its approximate 7½-mile course, Keeneys Creek descends from its headwaters east of Winona to the New River near Nuttalburg. In its last throws, the stream drops over 1,000 feet in elevation. Following alongside the creek along Keeneys Creek Road or the Keeneys Creek Rail Trail, one can hear and see waterfalls deep in the remote crevices, most of them inaccessible without some climbing gear or some hiking in from the New River.
