Flat Lick Falls is a 33-foot-high plunge waterfall along Laurel Fork Creek in Jackson County, Kentucky. It can be viewed from the top via a wheelchair-accessible viewing platform or from the bottom via a rugged half-mile out-and-back footpath.
The surrounding land has been developed into a small county-maintained recreation area with five miles of trails, a tent and RV campground, and restrooms.
From McKee, follow US Route 421 south for 8.5 miles. Turn right onto Hays Road at Gray Hawk and make an immediate left onto Lower Hays Road. Continue along the narrow two-lane road for one mile. Turn right onto Flat Lick Road and continue on the one-lane paved road for a half mile. The entrance to the park is on the left.
From Tyner, follow US Route 421 north for four miles. Turn left onto Hays Road at Gray Hawk and make an immediate left onto Lower Hays Road. Continue along the narrow two-lane road for one mile. Turn right onto Flat Lick Road and continue on the one-lane paved road for a half mile. The entrance to the park is on the left.
